Inaugurated on 17 June 2017 by Minister K. T. Rama Rao, the park was established at Sultanpur in Patancheru, Sangareddy district, near Hyderabad.
It was conceived as part of Telangana’s strategic push to develop medical devices and diagnostics as high-growth sectors, aligned with the “Make in Telangana” and “Atma Nirbhar Bharat” missions.

On 15 December 2021, Telangana Industries Minister K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) inaugurated seven medical device companies at the Medical Devices Park in Sultanpur, near Hyderabad. This marked a major milestone in the state’s push to become a global hub for medtech innovation.
